For privacy questions or requests, contact: playbettersoccerhelp@gmail.com. Please do not include passwords, payment details, medical records, or other sensitive information.

Private player accounts

Player accounts are currently available to United States residents aged 13 or older. We ask your age and country before asking for account details. We store the age you declared and its declaration date, not your date of birth. A temporary signed eligibility cookie helps protect this process. An under-13 declaration does not create a player profile.

Creating a training-plan account collects your email address, first or preferred name, and declared age and country. We record the policy version acknowledged and account/profile timestamps. Training questions are asked separately after email verification and sign-in. WordPress stores a password hash rather than your readable password. We use this information to provide your account, save your plan and progress, and protect the service. Creating an account does not subscribe you to marketing.

Your account profile is stored on our server and is not a public player directory. Site administrators and service providers needed to operate the site can access relevant records. Account verification and password resets use email and expiring security links. Login sessions use secure cookies, and the player session lifetime is limited to 12 hours. Account forms are designed without public-page analytics, advertising, or third-party video embeds.

Account retention, access and deletion

Verified account profiles remain until you delete the account or we remove it for an operational or legal reason. You can edit the supported profile fields, download your account data as JSON, and delete your player account with your password from the My account page. Contact us for an email change or other privacy request. Please do not email a password.

Unverified new accounts and their profiles are scheduled for removal after approximately 48 hours. Security controls store keyed hashes derived from connection/account identifiers and short-lived attempt counters to limit abuse. Expired counters are scheduled for daily cleanup; scheduled task timing depends on website operation. Backups and hosting/security logs follow the applicable service retention arrangements, so deletion from active records may not immediately remove backup copies.

Plans and progress saved before account saving was introduced may remain in your browser. We do not automatically import those older records into an account. Anyone using that browser profile may see them. Signing out or deleting your account does not erase older browser records; clear this site’s browser data separately.

Your training plan and progress

Building a four-week training plan requires a verified player account. The questionnaire collects your position, competition level, training goals, equipment and schedule. We store these selections and the resulting plan on our server so you can continue on another device.

For signed-in players, we save workout completion history, difficulty ratings, completion dates, skill-test results, calendar dates and assignments, optional film-study notes, personal-best challenge results and submitted wall-challenge scores to the private account. Training ranks are calculated from saved workout progress. Unsaved edits may be lost if you disconnect or close a page before saving finishes; the page displays save status.

The public homepage challenge can be used without an account. If you are signed out and choose to save a score, it is stored in that browser. When signed in, new saved scores use your private account. Quick Session and the video library remain available without a player account.

Removing saved information

Use the relevant training controls to replace a plan or clear supported results. Deleting your player account removes its saved plan and progress from active server records. You can download account data before deletion. To remove older local records or signed-out challenge scores, clear this website’s data in your browser settings; clearing cookies alone may not clear local storage. We cannot recover deleted local records or erase them remotely.

Website operation and technical information

Our WordPress site is hosted by Hostinger and uses caching and site-management services. Delivering pages and protecting the website can involve technical information such as your IP address, requested URLs, browser information, and request times. Hosting, security, and operational records are separate from your private account and training records.

The site also loads a Hostinger Reach script. Requests to this external service can disclose technical connection information. See Hostinger’s Privacy Policy for information about its services.

YouTube videos and preview images

The site links to YouTube and offers embedded videos. Our custom video controls create the YouTube player after you choose to open a video. Some preview images are served from YouTube’s image servers and can contact Google before playback, including when a plan or preview is displayed.

Loading a preview image, loading the player, or playing a video can disclose your IP address, browser and device information, referring site information, and interactions to Google/YouTube. Their services may use cookies or similar technologies. Information can be associated with your Google account depending on your account status and settings.

Our custom embeds use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain, youtube-nocookie.com. This changes certain personalization behavior; it does not mean that no information is collected. Read Google’s Privacy Policy and YouTube’s embedding information. You can choose not to open a video, although that does not prevent requests for external images or other page resources.

Fonts and other external links

The site requests fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google to obtain those resources, disclosing technical connection information such as your IP address and browser request information. Other websites linked from this site have their own privacy practices. Following a link takes you to that provider’s service.

Comments and messages

Where WordPress comments are enabled, submitting a comment sends us the information entered in the form, the comment, your IP address, and browser user-agent information for moderation and spam prevention. Approved comments and the display name you provide can be public. Do not post private information in a comment. If an avatar is displayed through Gravatar, that service can receive a hash derived from your email address and technical request information; see Automattic’s Privacy Policy.

If you contact us, we receive the contact information and message you send. We use them to respond, address requests, and maintain relevant records. Please send only information needed for your inquiry.

Cookies and browser controls

Local storage and cookies are different technologies. Signed-in training data is stored on our server; signed-out challenge scores and older records may use local storage as described above. WordPress uses cookies for login sessions, security and administration, and may use them for comment preferences. External services have their own practices. Browser controls can affect sessions and embedded features.

Use, disclosure, and retention

We use information we receive to operate and secure the website, moderate comments, respond to inquiries, and address legal obligations. Hosting and other service providers process information in connection with their services. We may disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or legal claims.

Comments and related moderation records may remain while the comment is published and as needed for moderation. Correspondence is kept as needed to handle the inquiry and related legal or security matters. Hosting logs and backups follow the applicable service configuration and retention processes; removal from active systems may not immediately remove backup copies.

Your choices and requests

You can remove device-stored progress using the controls above. Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information we hold about you, or to ask about privacy rights that apply where you live. We may need to verify the request and may retain information when required or permitted by law. Google/YouTube and other independent services handle requests concerning their own records.

Younger players and parents

Accounts are restricted to U.S. residents aged 13 or older. Building and saving a four-week plan requires a verified account; Quick Session and the video library remain public. We ask eligibility before collecting account details and do not offer an under-13 account or parental-consent workflow. Players under 13 should use public resources with a parent or guardian and should not submit personal information. Parents should supervise video viewing and review external services’ settings. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it. These restrictions do not replace protections required by applicable children’s privacy laws.

Security, international processing, and changes

No website or storage method is completely secure. Services used by this website may process information outside your state or country under their applicable arrangements. We will update this policy when our practices change and revise the date above. Changes to accounts, payments, advertising, analytics, or other forms may require additional disclosures and controls.
